The exhibition “Her Circle” is the first complete presentation of women’s architectural creativity in architecture in our country, from the design of buildings for all purposes, through urban plans, interiors, furniture design to thematic publications. The amount of material collected, which is in no way final, speaks of the great contribution that women architects have made and continue to make in architecture.

The exhibition combined material collected in two independent surveys that began in 2013 in Belgrade and in 2014 in Novi Sad, as well as available materials created during previous individual surveys. The only previous comprehensive research was conducted by Dr. arch. Divna Đurić Zamolo near the end of her life in 1976, and that material, in its raw edition, was published in 1996 in the publication Pinus Zapisi no. 5 published by the Museum of Science and Technology. From then until 2013, we have individual scientific articles about several architects. The form of the time axis shows the continuity of women in architecture, draws attention to the richness and diversity of architectural expression and provides a kind of presentation of the development of our contemporary architecture through the prism of women’s creativity. Some women from our architectural past were absent from this presentation, such as Anka Zečević, Danica Hristić, Draginja Petrović and others. The form of the exhibition also imposed its spatial and content limitations. There is no doubt that this display is only a part of the overall female creativity and contribution to our architecture.

The continuity of the time axis has been interrupted from 1990 until today, due to the large number of women and the variety of their actions that deserve special presentations, due to the lack of time distance, but also time for serious valorization of contemporary female architectural opus. Therefore, the objects of some of the authors who have so far taken part in our research have been used as samples and representatives of the present moment. Our efforts to promote women’s creativity were also on the timeline, because we believe that writing, researching, discussing and presenting the contributions of women architects is as important as continuing their successful work in architecture. By drawing attention to women’s work, we can change the attitude of institutions and the profession towards our important architects and provide interesting models for future generations.

Izložba „Njen krug“ predstavlja prvi celovit prikaz ženskog arhitektonskog stvaralaštva u arhitekturi kod nas, od projektovanja objekata svih namena, preko urbanističkih planova, enterijera, dizajna nameštaja pa do tematskih publikacija. Količina sakupljenog materijala, koji ni na koji način nije konačan, govori o velikom doprinosu koje su žene arhitekte ostvarile i ostvaruju i dalje u arhitekturi.

 

Izložba je kombinovala materijal prikupljen u dva nezavisna istraživanja koja su započeta tokom 2013. u Beogradu i tokom 2014. godine u Novom Sadu, kao i dostupne materijale nastale tokom prethodnih individualnih istraživanja. Jedino prethodno sveobuhvatno istraživanje sprovela je dr. arh. Divna Đurić Zamolo  pred kraj svog života 1976. godine, i taj materijal, u svom sirovom izdanju objavljen je 1996. u publikaciji Pinus Zapisi br. 5 u izdanju Muzeja nauke i tehnike. Od tada pa do 2013. godine imamo pojedinačne naučne članke o nekoliko arhitektkinja. Kroz formu vremenske ose prikazan je kontinuitet žena u arhitekturi, skrenuta pažnja na bogatstvo i raznolikost arhitektonskog izraza i omogućen je svojevrsni prikaz razvoja naše savremene arhitekture kroz prizmu ženskog stvaralaštva. Neke žene iz naše arhitektonske prošlosti izostale su iz ovog prikaza, poput Anke Zečević,  Danice Hristić, Draginje Petrović i drugih. I forma izložbe nametnula je svoja prostorna i sadržajna ograničenja. Nesumnjivo je da je ovaj prikaz samo deo ukupnog ženskog stvaralaštva i doprinosa našoj arhitekturi.

Kontinuitet vremenske ose je isprekidan od 1990. godine do danas, što zbog velikog broja žena i raznovrsnosti njihovih delovanja koja zaslužuju posebne prikaze, što zbog nedostatka vremenske distance, ali i vremena, za ozbiljnu valorizaciju savremenog ženskog arhitektonskog opusa.  Iskorišćene su stoga, kao uzorci i reprezenti današnjeg trenutka, izgrađeni objekti nekih od autorki koje su do sada uzele učešća u našim istraživanjima. Na vremenskoj liniji našli su se i naši napori na promociji ženskog stvaralaštva, jer smatramo da je pisanje, istraživanje, diskutovanje i  prikazivanje doprinosa žena arhitekata važno koliko i nastavak njihovog uspešnog bavljenja arhitekturom. Skretanjem pažnje na ženski opus možemo promeniti odnos institucija i struke prema našim važnim arhitektkinjama/arhitekticama i pružiti interesantne modele budućim generacijama.
